Dirty Pretty Things is the much anticipated book by Michael Faudet. His whimsical and often erotic writing has already captured the hearts and minds of literally thousands of readers from around the world. He paints vivid pictures with intricate words and explores the compelling themes of love, loss, relationships and sex. All beautifully captured in poetry, prose, quotes and little short stories.
Not going to waste my time or money buying or reading this book that was so very thoroughly trashed by other book reviewers that have a high regard for the art of poetry, which, apparently, this writer does not.
I admit my interest was sorely piqued because Michael Faudet is supposedly the husband of the very popular poet, Lang Leav, whose books I will be reviewing, but only because I have already committed the error of purchasing them already. I say he is supposedly her husband because there has been a lot of speculation that he doesn’t actually exist, but is the pen name of Leav herself, which she apparently needed to separate her bad, PG rated poetry, from her bad PG-13 rated poetry.
But anyways, I was intrigued because the idea of a marriage between two poets fascinated me to the point of obsession. I mean, what could be more romantic or perfect than two poets falling in love with not only words, but each other?
Anyways, though I didn’t read this book, I feel no shame in admitting that I’ve watched this video several times because it is lovely. Happy watching.
